Living in Bramhall
As well as a charming town centre, Bramhall is well known for its historic Tudor manor house. With origins dating back to the Middle Ages, Bramall Hall (which uses the town's Old English name) is a superb example of such architecture. Take a tour to discover some of the fascinating history that this house has stood through, from early medieval times to the present day. Admire its 16th century wall paintings and fine Elizabethan plaster ceilings and see some of the newer additions, including the Victorian kitchens and servants' quarters.
What's more, Bramhall Hall is set in more than 50 acres of parkland. Bramhall Park is open to the public and features calm lakes, peaceful woodland and beautiful gardens. Take a stroll through this magnificent park and you may even spot some of the varied wildlife that call it home.
The town is also just 4 miles from Stockport town centre. At Stockport's heart is Robinsons Brewery, one of Britain's oldest breweries. Take a tour and discover its fascinating history, stretching back to 1838, and find out how the brewery has evolved with its now wide use of modern technologies. And, of course, don't forget to sample some of the brewery's liquid produce and enjoy delicious food in its top-quality bar and restaurant.
In Stockport town centre you'll also find The Plaza. This cinema and theatre space has been fully restored to its 1930s glory and here you can enjoy a range of performances from pantomimes and musicals to concerts and stage plays, as well as classic films screened in the cinema. Plus, don't visit The Plaza without popping into the sumptuous Art Deco cafe for a wonderful fine dining experience or afternoon tea.
And, just 6 miles from Bramhall is Quarry Bank Mill, an 18th century mill open to the public. Wander around the mill to discover how it would have worked in its heyday and the hardships faced by workers at the time. Hear the roars of the engines, marvel at the mighty steam-powered waterwheel and stroll among the mill's beautiful gardens and miles of woodland.
For any keen or aspiring golfers, there are two golf clubs nearby, Bramhall Park Golf Club and Bramhall Club both of which boast 18 hole courses with great scenery and a friendly atmosphere.
Located on 64 Ack Lane East, the development Queens View is adjacent to Hillbrook Grange and within a short distance of all Bramhall’s amenities.
You'll find a medical practice, a pharmacy and a Tesco Express all within 0.3 miles. In the surrounding area, Bramhall Golf Club is 1 mile away and the woodlands of Bramhall Park are 1.5 miles away.
For travel further afield, the train station is 0.4 miles from the development and provides services to Stockport and Manchester.
