Planning has been approved on the new McCarthy Stone Retirement Living development Brook Meadow which is off Church Lane in Neston, Cheshire. Located close to the historic market town centre and adjacent to a brook, McCarthy Stone is planning a development on 44 one and two bedroom properties.

These new retirement properties in Neston will allow retirees to free themselves from the stresses and strains of maintaining and cleaning a large family home. Our Retirement Living properties are tailor-made for over 60s, allowing residents to live in a community of like-minded people where it's easy to make new friends.

As the owner of one of our retirement properties in Neston, you'll still own your own home, so you'll never feel like you're sacrificing anything. However, although you can maintain your independence at our development, you'll also know that help is on hand, should you require it. To provide you and your loved ones with peace of mind, our Brook Meadow development includes a 24/7 call system and a House Manager, who is available during office hours.

Plus, to help you enjoy your golden years, when you relocate to one of our retirement properties at Brook Meadow, we'll also take care of the external maintenance of your property. This means that you'll have more time to spend doing the things you love. Whether you'd rather socialise and make friends in the communal lounge and gardens, explore the Wirral Way or spend your days exploring the thriving market town of Neston, it is completely up to you.

The local area

Living in Neston

Neston is a small town in Cheshire, located on part of the Wirral Peninsula. The town's market has been in existence since 1728, when King George II granted a Royal Charter for a market to be held each Friday. Nowadays, this popular market is held in the Market Square and you can buy everything from artisan breads to homeware and plants on your visit. Over the years, many friendships have been formed by the traders and the public here, which make for a vibrant and friendly atmosphere.

If you're looking to enjoy an active retirement, then you can take a stroll along the promenade in nearby Parkgate, where you can also sample the famous homemade ice cream while you take in the views of the estuary. Alternatively, you can explore Ness Botanic Gardens, which are only a 5-minute drive from our retirement properties in Neston.

Neston is also connected to Wirral Way, which is the perfect way to explore the local area. A terrific 12-mile walking or cycling ride, on this journey you can experience the Wirral countryside and the coastal estuary of the River Dee. The Wirral Way also connects to the 37-mile Wirral Circular Trail, which allows you to explore the rest of the peninsula.

Neston is also well-served by local and national transport routes that make it easy to get out and explore. The A540, for example, links Neston with Cheshire, Chester and North Wales, while the M53 and M56 are both nearby, providing access to Liverpool, Manchester and the M6 motorway. Neston is also home to Neston Railway Station, which is situated on the Borderlands Line and provides direct access to Wrexham and Birkenhead, as well as connecting services to the Merseyrail network, for national travel services.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing our customers make the transition moving from their current home that they have lived for many years to one of McCarthy Stone's stunning apartments. Seeing our new homeowners leave all the stresses and strains behind them and enjoy the next chapter of their lives gives me great pleasure each and every time I make someone else a proud homeowner at a McCarthy Stone development.
