Our doors are open to anyone who wants to improve their quality of life, meet new people, get healthier, stay mentally active, volunteer or just come and relax and have a chat. As we look ahead to the New Year, this generous donation is going to be a huge help towards our planned renovations, which will further improve the much-needed community hub.” The McCarthy Stone Foundation is the independent, registered charity of the UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, McCarthy Stone, which is currently building Wheatley Place on Stratford Road in Shirley.

The Shirley Community Centre is such an important resource for the local community and offers them a place to connect with others and improve their lives and mental health and wellbeing through a range of activities.
