CELEBRITY GUEST JANET STREET-PORTER OFFICIALLY OPENS NEW RETIREMENT COMMUNITY IN HARLESTON
Celebrity guest, journalist and Loose Women panellist, Janet Street-Porter, CBE, was in town to cut the ribbon at Waveney Place, a McCarthy Stone Retirement Living development on Mendham Lane.
Guests at the event, heard first-hand from Janet about her extensive career as one of Britain’s most recognisable media personalities. Attendees were also able to take a tour of the development which provided guests with the opportunity to view Waveney Place’s stunning show suite and enviable array of shared facilities.
As well as sharing stories from her glamorous career as a former newspaper editor of the Daily Mail, where she writes as a columnist, Janet also held a meet and greet session with local retirees and enjoyed hearing about the community blossoming at Waveney Place. Commenting on her visit, Janet said: “I was delighted to be invited to Waveney Place for the Grand Opening. It was so wonderful to meet with all the homeowners and their guests, and an absolute joy to be a part of the celebrations here in Harleston.”
