Set in the heart of a vibrant small market town in east Cheshire close to the Staffordshire border, McCarthy & Stone’s Alsager development will mirror the close-knit community feel of the local area.

A fairly small development of 12 one-bed and 32 two-bed apartments designed to make your life easier. Ample storage, raised sockets and built in appliances feature in all apartments, and some even have balconies. You’ll be able to socialise with your neighbours in the comfortable yet elegant communal lounge, or the landscaped gardens to take in some fresh air on a summer’s morning.

As a Retirement Living development there’ll be a House Manager onsite during office hours should you need anything, and in case of emergencies there’ll be a 24-hour call system in place. A camera entry system will link to your television so you’ll be able to see any visitors before you let them in. Your safety and security are our number-one priorities.

Along with onsite car parking which will be available to purchase and a scooter/cycle store room, the site has great transport links. The M6 motorway is easily accessible and there are regular trains services to the nearby towns and cities from Alsager station, which is less than a 10-minute stroll away.

The development site is also well situated for local amenities. Alsager town centre is located 0.3 miles walking distance away from our development, where you’ll find an array of independent shops, various supermarkets, several banks and churches, as well as a mixture of small restaurants and other eateries. There’s also a library and a health centre close to the site.

THE LOCAL AREA

Living in Alsager

This quaint market town has a lot to offer. As does its surrounding area: a number of other equally picturesque towns and villages can be found nearby, each of which hosts a variety of events and is home to a number of attractions.

Just minutes up the road from the development site is Alsager Gardens, an area of open parkland ideal for walking your four-legged friend. Also nearby, Milton Park is a beautifully kept green space, with a wonderful rose garden. The park hosts Alsager Music Festival, which is organised by local musicians and offers something for all musical tastes.

The countryside surrounding Alsager is ideal for relaxing strolls. The Salt Line is a mostly flat 1.8 mile route that follows the line of a disused railway through farm- and woodland. The Borrow Pit Meadows, adjacent to the Salt Line, are about 40 acres and includes another 1.25 miles of undulating paths that snake through the area's mosaic of habitats, including meadows, wetland and scrub. 

Alsager holds a weekly market on Wednesdays from 9am to 3pm, featuring an array of stalls of different produce, household goods and clothing on offer. Nearby Crewe (7 miles) and Congleton (8 miles) hold markets, and Stoke-on-Trent (10 miles) offers excellent high-street and retail centre shopping.

And for the green-fingered among you, Alsager has its own garden association, through which members can manage and rent allotments of different sizes and needs.

The development is on the doorstep of Alsager Gardens and Milton Gardens. Here, you can admire the ornamental gardens and floral displays. If you’d rather keep active, both the bowls and tennis clubs can be reached within 0.5 miles.
