Council Chairman Lays Date Brick

The Chairman of Blandford St Mary, Councillor Malcolm Albery, alongside his Vice Chairman, Councillor Richard Whitlock, donned hard hats last week to lay an official date brick McCarthy Stone’s latest development, Stour Gate on Barley Place.

The VIP guests joined McCarthy Stone’s Mike Lebeau, Marketing Executive and Hannah Akroyd, Construction Coordinator, to take a closer look at development plans and lay a date brick commemorating the construction.

Chairman Councillor Albery commented: “It was a pleasure to visit the site of McCarthy Stone’s new development in Blandford St Mary to lay a date brick. It was a good opportunity to meet the site manager and hear first-hand about the developer’s newest retirement community, which will help to meet the housing needs of retirees in Blandford St Mary and the surrounding areas.”
