Things to do in Huyton, Liverpool
Just six miles from Liverpool, the historic town of Huyton is a core part of Merseyside. The settlement has ancient origins. Iron Age relics have been found and it is mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086. The town has raised a lot of talent too: football stars including Steven Gerrard and Joey Barton had homes here, as well as superstar TV scriptwriters Alan Bleasdale and Phil Redmond.
This new McCarthy Stone Shared Ownership housing in Huyton is close to everything the lively town has to offer, including the Huyton Village shopping area, referred to locally as the 'The Villie'.
The town’s major sports and culture hub, Knowsley's leisure services, is also close by offering swimming pools, squash and tennis courts, a velodrome and even a spa for relaxing after all that hard work: the Spa At Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park.
