“The gardens here are the most beautiful I've ever seen, and I get to enjoy them without the worry of having to maintain them myself. It is just such an easy way of life and I would absolutely recommend downsizing to a development such as this.”

You’ll be surrounded by spectacular countryside including the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and if you’re after more cultural experiences, the vibrant city of Exeter is close by too.

Cullompton is a picturesque town that’s full of footpaths, bridleways and cycle trails, so you can get out and explore. It includes a parkland golf course, a golf school, a health and fitness centre, a fishing lake, a beauty salon and a sports bar.

Alternatively, if you have an interest in history, then you can also head to Bickleigh Castle which has almost 900 years of natural history. There’s also Killerton House, a National Trust property, only six miles away. In addition, there are a number of local landmarks to discover, such as the fine church, the Bull Ring (where the market is held) and The Walronds, which is a beautifully restored manor house.

The farmers’ market in the town is award-winning, selling delicious locally reared goods. In addition, the town hosts a number of pannier markets and expanded street markets. High Street and Fore Street were the town’s commercial heartbeat in Victorian times. Now, they’re alive with a number of local shops, bars and restaurants, including an award-winning butcher.
