Living in Cullompton

The historic market town of Cullompton is set within the tranquil surroundings of the Culm Valley. Cullompton is a picturesque town that’s full of footpaths, bridleways and cycle trails, so you can get out and explore. Nearby, you’ll also find the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you like to stay active, you can also head to Padbrook Park, which is a golf course and sporting recreational centre. It includes a parkland golf course, a golf school, a health and fitness centre, a fishing lake, a beauty salon and a sports bar.

Alternatively, if you have an interest in history, then you can also head to Bickleigh Castle which has almost 900 years of natural history. There’s also Killerton House, a National Trust property, only six miles away. In addition, there are a number of local landmarks to discover, such as the fine church, the Bull Ring (where the market is held) and The Walronds, which is a beautifully restored manor house.

The farmers’ market in the town is award-winning, selling delicious locally reared goods. In addition, the town hosts a number of pannier markets and expanded street markets. High Street and Fore Street were the town’s commercial heartbeat in Victorian times. Now, they’re alive with a number of local shops, bars and restaurants, including an award-winning butcher.

Our Cullompton development will be located at the Astra Printing Site on Willand Road, just 0.2 miles away from the town centre. Here you’ll find a farmers’ market, a Tesco Superstore and an Aldi supermarket. All of these will be within 0.5 miles of the development.
