	2025 Customer Satisfaction Five Star Award	We’ve been awarded the maximum 5-star rating for Customer Satisfaction by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) again in 2025. It means over 90% of our customers would recommend us to a friend and 88% said living in a McCarthy & Stone community has improved their quality of life.
	LaingBuisson Awards 2025	In 2025, we were delighted to win the award for "Excellence in Retirement Housing" at the LaingBuisson Awards, recognising the incredible services we provide across not only our 132 Retirement Living PLUS developments, but great customer service and innovation in many other areas too.
	Great British Care Awards 2025	Roz Price, Home Care Registered Manager Awrad for Wainwright Court, won the Northwest regional final and came second place at the national final.
	Retirement Living Awards 2025	Sydney Grange, Failsworth, won "Outstanding retirement housing with or without care assistance" award. Thorneycroft, Tettenhall, won "Best care on site" award. McCarthy & Stone also took the "Best for sustainability or net zero future" award, recognising our commitment to the environment.

	For Pride In Job Award	We are delighted to announce that FOUR of our fantastic Site Managers have been awarded NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards for their excellent work at their developments! .
	Housing Design Awards 2024	Congratulations to our team who have been shortlisted for a Housing Design award for their Petersfield village scheme. This is a prestigious award that recognises housing design quality at both design stage (beyond planning), and post construction. Judges called it out as being in the top 48 housing projects of the past year and praised its approach to incorporating the local countryside into the design.
	2024 Customer Satisfaction Five Star Award	McCarthy & Stone has once again been awarded the maximum 5-star rating for Customer Satisfaction by the Home Builders Federation. In an independent survey, over 90% of our customers would recommend us to a friend. The survey also revealed that McCarthy & Stone continues to exceed customer satisfaction across the board, with almost nine out of 10 (88 percent) of our homeowners saying living in a McCarthy & Stone community has improved their quality of life.

	LaingBuisson Awards 2023	Winner in the "Excellence in Retirement Housing" category.
	Great Place to Work 2023-24	We are thrilled to announce that we have once again been named a Great Place to Work. A huge thank you to the many people across the entire business who help make McCarthy & Stone a Great Place to Work, and would recommend working here!
	Great British Care Awards 2023	Ellen Joiner, Estate Manager at Miami House, Essex, won The Home Care Registered Manager Award at the London regional final. Ellen will now go through to the national final in March 2024.
	What House Awards 2023	Silver Winner in the Best Retirement Developer category.
	Housebuilder Awards - Best Retirement Scheme - 2023 Winners	Our Foundry Place Retirement Living PLUS development in Beccles was recognised as 2023's best retirement scheme at the Housebuilder Awards.
	Health Investor Senior Housing Awards - Best Pipeline of the Year Award – 2023 Winners	This award recognises the developers and operators with the most impressive pipeline of seniors housing developments either under construction or with land acquired and planning obtained. The judges considered both the volume and the quality of the projects in the pipeline.
	Retirement Living Awards - Best Retirement Project and Best Developer Awards – 2023 Winners	Priory House, Banstead, won Best Retirement Project. Our 500th managed development was recognised for its beautiful design and the secure and thriving community it offers to older people in the area. McCarthy & Stone also took the Best Developer Award, recognising our commitment to our customers and our communities and our sustainability strategy.
	National House Building Council - Pride in the Job - 2023 Winners	Six of our incredible Site Managers have been awarded NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards for their excellent work at their developments, with two of those going on to win Seals of Excellence, and one being named a regional winner!
	Association of Residential Managing Agents ACE Award - 2023 Winners	A huge well done to Louise Grace, House Manager at Centenary Place, who won On-Site Member of the Year Award and Carla Davies, Estate Manager at Foxhall Court who won the Rising Star Award, and congratulations to House Manager, Tasmin Searle who was also shortlisted.
	2023 Silver Marketing Association, Best Radio Campaign - Winner	Our award-winning radio campaign for Boom Radio UK features homeowners at Williams House, Thatcham, talking about the difference that life in this retirement community had made to their happiness and wellbeing.

	WhatHouse Awards 2022	We were pleased that Campbell House, Weybridge scooped a Silver at the WhatHouse Awards 2022 for Best Retirement Development.
	LaingBuisson Awards 2022 - Property Developer of the Year	In November 2022 we were delighted to win the Property Developer of the Year Award at the LaingBuisson Awards, with the judges praising our work to increase the affordability of our products and services, and increase the choice of tenures for our customers.
	Housebuilder Awards 2022	We were pleased to pick up a ‘Highly Commended’ at the Housebuilder Awards in November 2022 for Best Retirement Scheme for Campbell House in Weybridge, Surrey.
	Senior Housing Awards 2022	In September 2022 we were pleased that Jupiter House in Milton Keynes won ‘Senior Housing Development of the Year - Retirement Housing’ at the Senior Housing Awards.
	Association of Residential Managing Agents annual ACE awards	We were delighted that Kelly Jefford, our House Manager at Wisteria Place in Nottinghamshire, received a ‘highly commended’ at the ARMA Ace Awards in the Site Manager of the Year category.
	Pride in the Job Quality Award winners	Congratulations to the following Site Managers who have won Pride in the Job Awards for their excellent work at their developments! Neil Lister (for Whitley Bay), Carl Drury (for Buxton), Danny Blakeley (for Wigan), Simon Blackman-Davis (for Chipstead), Alex Mckenzie (for Dorchester) and Lloyd Bryant (for Bridport).
	Great Place to Work Wellbeing List 2022	We are delighted to be on the Great Place to Work Wellbeing List for 2022! Over 80% of our incredible teams told us they felt their role was “more than just a job” and that people really care about each other at McCarthy & Stone.
	Carterwood Market Movers 2022 – older people’s housing sector	We are delighted that Carterwood has found that we have once again taken top place in terms of bringing forward planning applications for new retirement communities.

	Property Week RESI Awards 2022	We were delighted that our rental deal with investors John Laing won Deal of the Year for their investment in our ground-breaking retirement rentals platform. The rental deal is the first of its kind in the UK, and has enabled us to offer more tenure choice than ever before to older people.

	Surrey Property Awards 2021	In November 2021, Holly Place in Cobham won Best New Apartment Scheme at the Surrey Property Awards. These awards acknowledge and recognise excellent design, best practice and exceptional service across all aspects of the property and construction industry.
	WhatHouse Awards 2021	We are proud that Greenhaven, our truly exceptional Retirement Living development in Branksome Park, Poole, received a Silver Winner Award at the 2021 WhatHouse Awards in the Best Retirement Development category.
	Insider Media Awards 2021	In September 2021 we were delighted that Monument Place, our new development in Salisbury, won the Care & Later Living Development of the Year Award at the Insider Residential Property Awards. The judges noted that “The scheme is a great example of creating a development that is a great fit with its surroundings.”
	Pride in the Job Awards 2021	2021 was another successful year for our construction teams as we picked up six more Pride in the Job Quality Awards. These important awards recognise site managers who achieve the highest standards in the construction industry and are the most highly regarded competition in housebuilding. Just 450 UK site managers were selected for the award from a field of 10,000 entrants.
	Older people's housing sector Winner 2020-21	In June 2021 we were pleased to pick up the Caterwood Market Movers Award for 2021, which noted that McCarthy & Stone continues to lead the retirement sector, with development plans twice that of the number two company on the list. Find out more.
	Housing with Care Award 2020 Winner	We are proud and delighted to have won the LiangBuisson Housing with Care Award 2020 (Covid delayed). The award recognises our excellence in the development of retirement villages and the provision of care services. For 15 years the LaingBuisson Awards have celebrated businesses that set new standards of excellence. LaingBuisson has over 30 years’ experience of providing insight, analysis and data on policy and strategy across healthcare, education and social care. .

	2020 Housebuilder Awards	In December 2020, we were delighted that our beautiful Chiltern Place development in Amersham won Best Retirement Scheme at the Housebuilder awards. We also received a Highly Commended for Best Community Initiative for our work during Covid supporting our homeowners, as well as a Special Recognition Award.
	2020 Pride in the Job Awards	In June 2020, we continued our success at the Pride in the Job awards by picking up another five Quality awards. These important awards recognise site managers who achieve the highest standards in the construction industry and are the most highly regarded competition in housebuilding. In the first round of judging, 450 UK site managers were selected for the award from a field of 11,000 entrants.
	2020 Customer Satisfaction Five Star Award	More than 90% of our customers say they would recommend us, which means we’ve been awarded the maximum 5-star rating for customer satisfaction. We’ve achieved this rating every year we have taken part in the survey.

	2019 Housebuilder Awards	In October 2019, we were pleased to pick up a ‘highly commended’ at the 2019 Housebuilder awards in the category of Best Community Initiative for our intergenerational living work at Wingfield Court. The intergenerational project launched last autumn, aiming to encourage our customers to spend time with children from their local primary school.
	2019 Pride in the Job Awards	In June 2019, we were delighted to win 10 Pride in the Job awards. These important awards recognise site managers who achieve the highest standards in the construction industry and are the most highly regarded competition in housebuilding. In the first round of judging, 450 UK site managers were selected for the award from a field of 16,000 entrants, which puts our winners among the top 3% in the industry.
	2019 National Housing for Older People Awards	In May 2019, we were pleased to pick up four awards at the Housing for Older People Awards, run by the Elderly Accommodation Counsel and voted for by residents of retirement housing. They included three silver awards for our developments, and most importantly, winning the Hero award for the great work of Sharon Gratton, our House Manager at Rockhaven Court, Bolton.
	2019 NHBC Health & Safety Awards	Also in May 2019, we were delighted to win four ‘commended’ and two 'highly commended' awards in this year’s NHBC Health & Safety Awards. These awards are designed to recognise and reward the very best in health and safety, and to helping drive up safety standards in the industry by showcasing and sharing best practice.

	2018 Housebuilder Awards	In November 2018, we were delighted that Horizons, our stunning development in Poole, won Best Retirement Scheme at the Housebuilder Awards. We were also shortlisted for Best Marketing Infinitive, Best Training Initiative, and Housebuilder of the Year.
	2018 ARMA ACE Awards	In July 2018, we were pleased to win two awards at the ARMA (Association of Residential Managing Agents) national awards. The awards were for ARMA’s On-site Staff Member of the year, which was won by Nick Twigger, our Estate Manager at Wilton Court, and ARMA’s Service Charge Accountant of the year, which was won by Julija Bizna, who works in our Head Office. We were also the finalist for ARMA’s National Managing Agent of the year.
	2018 NHBC Health & Safety Awards	In June 2018, we were pleased to pick up three NHBC Health & Safety Awards. The awards recognise and reward the very best in health and safety in the housebuilding sector, and three site managers, Rick Egerton, Mick Walters and Tony Barrowclough, were commended. The awards are testament to the continued care and attention we put into all of our developments.
	2018 Pride in the Job Awards	In June 2018, we were delighted to win 20 Pride in the Job awards, which recognise site managers who achieve the highest standards in housebuilding. The result was unprecedented for McCarthy & Stone as it is the largest number of awards we have ever received and marks a 33% increase on the year before.
