Nuneaton Development Is Officially Opened
There was cause for celebration last week as Mr Marcus Jones, MP for Nuneaton, paid a visit to officially open The Close
Mr Jones was joined by McCarthy Stone employees to perform a socially-distanced ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Retirement Living development on Church Street.
Mr Jones commented: “I was delighted to be invited to officially open The Close. It was wonderful to see how the construction of the development has taken shape since I visited last year.
“Developments such as The Close offer an excellent solution for those looking to enjoy an independent and active lifestyle in retirement, and I enjoyed seeing it first-hand. I think it’s important that Nuneaton is able to offer not only greater housing choice for individuals who are looking to downsize, but the chance to become part of a supportive, welcoming and friendly community, particularly given the impact that the Covid-19 pandemic is having on all our day-to-day lives.
“I look forward to popping along to meet with the new homeowners at The Close properly once everyone has settled into their new homes and restrictions have eased.”

We still wanted to mark the occasion and thought what better way than by taking a little bit of the party to them, that they could enjoy it in the comfort of their new home? We look forward to getting everyone together properly as soon as it’s safe to do so."
