A stunning new retirement community has thrown open its doors in the heart of Liphook – and locals turned out in force to celebrate.

The ribbon was officially cut by the Chairwoman of East Hampshire District Council, Councillor Penny Flux, who joined excited new homeowners, the onsite team and guests to mark the launch of Flora Place.

The brand-new development is already welcoming its first residents, offering stylish homes designed exclusively for the over-55s. Visitors enjoyed drinks and refreshments as they looked around the modern apartments, explored the beautiful communal spaces and got to know their future neighbours.

Just a stone's throw from Liphook village square, Flora Place has been carefully designed to blend in with the local area while offering contemporary living. The development features 39 one- and two-bedroom apartments, alongside a welcoming homeowners' lounge, landscaped gardens and a guest suite so friends and family can stay over in comfort.

The opening marks an exciting new addition to the village, giving local homeowners a fresh option for independent living in a vibrant community setting.

Chairwoman of East Hampshire District Council, Councillor Penny Flux, commented:

It was a pleasure to officially open Flora Place and to meet the on-site team and new residents. I’m sure Flora Place will be a great addition to Liphook, and I look forward to visiting again and seeing homeowners enjoy everything Flora Place has to offer.

Community engagement has been an important part of the development's journey. Early discussions with local stakeholders and ongoing engagement throughout the planning and construction process helped ensure Flora Place reflects the character of Liphook and complements the surrounding neighbourhood.

In addition to delivering new homes, the development has supported the local economy using regional contractors, suppliers and professional services during construction. As the development becomes established, it is expected to strengthen the village community and support the long-term vitality of local shops, services and businesses.

Homeowners can make the most of a range of stylish shared spaces, with a packed calendar of optional social events, clubs and parties for those who want to get involved.

A dedicated House Manager is on hand to keep everything running smoothly, while a 24/7 emergency call system and secure camera entry in every apartment provide extra peace of mind, helping residents feel safe, secure and supported in their homes.
