The UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities,McCarthy Stone, has launched a search for local charities to support in Cullompton, following the announcement that planning has been approved at its upcoming Retirement Living development on Willand Road.
Once complete, the Cullompton development will feature 42 luxury one and two-bedroom low maintenance apartments for those aged 60 and over. Apartments will be available for off-plan sales in June 2021, with the first occupants expected to be welcomed in Summer 2021.
With construction due to start in August 2020, McCarthy Stone is looking to pledge its support to a neighbourhood project, charity or one-off event within the Cullompton community.
Local groups and charities are urged to get in touch as soon as possible by emailing requests to [email protected] by 05 April 2020. Please mark your emails ‘Cullompton Community Appeal’ in the subject header.
Geoff Bates, Head of Marketing for McCarthy Stone South, commented: “Our fundamental aim when creating a development is to support and integrate McCarthy Stone, as well as our future residents, into the local community. Our charity appeal allows us to create important ties with local groups and neighbourhood projects, helping us all to build a positive legacy together. We encourage any local groups who are interested to get in touch now.”
Future residents at the Cullompton Retirement Living development will have access to a stylish and welcoming communal lounge, which will be perfect for socialising with new neighbours, landscaped gardens maintained by McCarthy Stone’s team, and a handy guest suite for when family and friends come to stay.
For added peace-of-mind, a House Manager will take care of the smooth-running of the development, and there will be a 24-hour emergency call system in every apartment should assistance be needed day or night.
The Cullompton development will be situated on Willand Road within a thriving town centre. There is an extensive range of shopping facilities and local amenities in the local area, including a range of high street shops, a sports centre and community centre, and it is surrounded by the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is a nationally important and protected landscape.
More than nine out of 10 customers would recommend McCarthy Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 14 years’ running. McCarthy Stone is the only UK house builder of any size or type to achieve this accolade every year the awards have been run.
