The UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, McCarthy Stone, has officially announced the name of its forthcoming Retirement Living Plus development in Leyland as Balshaw Court.
Inspired by Balshaw Grammar School, which formerly occupied the site between 1782 and 1932, the name Balshaw Court, was chosen to recognise the history of the area, as well as its ties to the local community today.
Fiona Brooks, Divisional Sales Director at McCarthy Stone, commented: “At McCarthy Stone we appreciate that our responsibility is not only to increase the provision of high quality, purpose-built age-exclusive properties, but also to create a positive legacy in the communities in which we build, which is why we have chosen a name that is synonymous with the history of the area.”
McCarthy Stone has also revealed a first-look of its brand new Retirement Living Plus development in Leyland, with a CGI released today to show how Balshaw Court will look once complete. Properties are expected to be released for off plan sales in Spring 2020 and the first residents will be welcomed in Winter 2020.
Fiona Brooks continued: “We are looking forward to the launch of Balshaw Court, when apartment specifications and prices will be released. Early birds will benefit from purchasing off plan by having the pick of all the available plots. It is a very exciting time for our business as interest in the site is high amongst retirees who already live in Leyland, as well as from people who are looking to downsize to this popular destination from further afield. We encourage anyone who is interested to find out more to get in touch now.”
Situated on Burlington Gardens, Balshaw Court will consist of 30 one-bed and 32 two-bedroom privately-owned apartments. Residents at the Leyland development will have access to stunning landscaped gardens and on-site parking. There will also be a large open communal lounge, perfect for socialising with new neighbours; and a handy guest suite for when family and friends come to stay.
A dedicated Estates Manager will oversee the running of the development and facilities will also include an on-site bistro, serving hot meals, as well as various light snacks and refreshments.
Built with security in mind, there will be a camera entry system, and all apartments will be equipped with 24-hour emergency call system Retirement Living Plus provides independent living, where residents can enjoy the new found freedom of owning a low maintenance property, but with added domestic and support services to provide peace of mind that a little extra help is on hand if needed.
Located in a quiet residential area close to Leyland town centre, Balshaw Court boasts a wealth of amenities on its doorstep, including three supermarkets, a library, medical centre and a whole host of shops and eateries. Just south of Preston, yet benefiting from the community spirit of a small town, Balshaw Court offers the best of both worlds.
More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 14 years’ running. McCarthy Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 14 years, which is every year the awards have been run.
