McCarthy & Stone’s donation will help Age UK provide information

The McCarthy & Stone Foundation and the team behind Jennings Grange, a new over 60s Retirement Living community offering Shared Ownership in Idle, Bradford made the donation to Age UK Bradford and District to support the provision of Information and Information Plus services in the area.

Helping older people access support at times of need

With the cost-of-living crisis continuing to impact older people, this donation helps to ensure that much-needed information services continues to be offered at this challenging time. Information and Information Plus are a crucial gateway to all of Age UK Bradford District’s services and allow them to help older people in the local community.

Chris Alexander, Deputy Chief Executive at Age UK Bradford District, says, “We are incredibly grateful to the McCarthy & Stone Foundation for this generous donation. Our services play a key role in connecting older people with the support they need, whether it’s financial advice, social activities, or essential care. With more older people facing financial strain, this contribution will help us continue to provide free, accessible, and much-needed guidance to those who need it most.”

Declan Fishwick, Business Development Manager at McCarthy & Stone, adds, “Supporting the communities close to our developments is a key focus at McCarthy & Stone and we are delighted, in partnership with the McCarthy & Stone Foundation, to lend a helping hand to the Age UK Bradford District. It was great to get a better understanding of all the fantastic work they do.”
