We’re proud and delighted to be awarded the coveted Five Star customer satisfaction rating by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) again in 2025. McCarthy Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this rating every year that we’ve been part of the HBF’s independent survey.
Homeowners in four retirement communities give us top marks in 2025
This year we received an incredible 100% customer satisfaction score from our lovely homeowners in these four developments:

- Yelland Place, Tadley, Hampshire
- Walnut Tree Place, Goring-by-Sea, West Sussex
- Edwin Gardens, Saffron Walden (which was recently voted the best place to live in the UK!), Essex
88% of homeowners say we’ve ‘improved their quality of life’
The survey also revealed that almost nine out of ten (88 percent) homeowners say living at one of our communities has improved their quality of life.

The survey is conducted annually by the HBF who interview over 100,000 homeowners nationwide. To receive the top Five Star rating, more than 90 percent of customers need to recommend the company to a friend.
