Milward Place

The town of Redditch has a long and interesting history - back in the 19th century, this was the international centre for the needle and fishing tackle industry, with 90% of the world's needles made in the town. If you're interested in finding out more about Redditch's role in history, you can visit the nearby Forge Mill Needle Museum and see its extraordinary exhibition documenting the town's rich industrial heritage.

Needles aside, you'll have everything you need right here in Redditch - there's a post office, pharmacy, dentist and church all within walking distance. Just half a mile away is the huge Kingfisher Shopping Centre, boasting stores such as Debenhams, Primark, H&M and Boots. There are also several cinemas, a new restaurant precinct and a gym. A few steps from the Kingfisher are the Church Green conservation area and the 18th-century St Stephens Church.

Redditch itself is easy to get to, with several main roads leading into the centre. A bus stop is located just 150m from the McCarthy & Stone property, offering local services around the area. Or you can walk to Redditch train station from your apartment, to head directly to Worcester, Birmingham and beyond.
