Things to do in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire

Rickmansworth is a pretty town in southwest Hertfordshire, made popular by its country setting and easy commute to London. At its centre it offers many independent shops, renowned brands like Marks and Spencer’s and Waitrose, cafes, restaurants, a theatre and the library. Popular eateries include Cinnamon Square, the Sicilian restaurant Maurizio's, fine dining at Scotsbridge Mill and traditional pub grub at The Coach and Horses and The Western.

While there are a multitude of green spaces to enjoy nearby, the most well-known is the Aquadrome. This nature reserve, woodland and park is perfect for walking and has two lakes where you can sail, canoe, windsurf and fish. Golf enthusiasts have a plenty of choice too, with Batchworth Park, Moor Park and Chorleywood Golf Clubs close by.

If you enjoy being active, try the William Penn Leisure Centre which has a fitness studio, squash courts, a 25m swimming pool, a sauna and steam room. Rickmansworth Sports Club offers cricket and hockey clubs.
