McCarthy Stone, the housebuilder behind the Clarendon House Retirement Living development which is currently under construction on Tower Road in Poole, has shown its support for Argyll Bowling Club with a £500 donation.

Situated on West Overcliff Drive in Westbourne, Argyll Bowling Club has two greens where players can enjoy panoramic sea views. The club includes a café and licensed bar where members and touring teams can catch up and reflect on the day’s play.

The President of Argyll Bowling Club, Mrs Christine Gibb, was presented with a cheque for £500 by Hannah Lee, sales consultant from McCarthy Stone, who was representing the Clarendon House Retirement Living development.

In receiving the cheque, Mrs Gibb said: “I am delighted to receive this donation from McCarthy Stone, on behalf of all at the club.  Financial support from local businesses can make a real difference to the continued success of the club, and we look forward to building on our relationship with McCarthy Stone in the future.”

Hannah Lee, sales consultant for McCarthy Stone, commented: “As a company, we appreciate that our responsibility is not only to build high quality retirement communities, but also to create a positive legacy in the areas in which we have a presence.

“Argyll Bowling Club is widely known within the region. The Club provides somewhere for people to meet and make new friends and is of great benefit to all people living in the area, especially our future homeowners at Clarendon House. We are delighted to be able to support such a worthy local cause.”

The Club will be holding their first Open Day on Sunday, 5th May and all are welcome to come and try the game of bowls.

McCarthy Stone’s Retirement Living communities are thoughtfully-designed exclusively for the over 60s to provide the very best in modern, independent living within a safe and secure environment.

Situated less than a mile from Poole’s Blue Flag beaches, the Clarendon House development will feature social spaces including a large Club Lounge, perfect for socialising with new neighbours, and landscaped gardens, maintained by McCarthy Stone’s expert team. A hotel-style guest suite will also be available for when family and friends come to stay.

Built with security in mind, Clarendon House will include a camera entry system and each apartment will also have 24-hour emergency call points for added peace-of-mind. A House Manager will take care of the day-to-day running of the development.

Apartments at Clarendon House are now available to reserve off-plan, with prices starting from £375,000 for a two-bedroom design.  The first homeowners are expected to move-in when construction is complete in the summer.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 13 years’ running. McCarthy Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 13 consecutive years, which is every year the awards have been run.
