The Right Worshipful Mayor of Gloucester, Councillor Colin Organ, donned a hi-vis jacket and hard hat last week to help lay an official date brick at McCarthy Stone Scudamore Place, on St. Ann Way in Gloucester Quays.

Councillor Colin Organ joined the McCarthy Stone team, including Site Manager Adam Lawley, to take a closer look at development plans and find out more about the benefits of Retirement Living.

Located on St Ann Way, the forthcoming Retirement Living development will eventually comprise a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments exclusively for the over 60s.

The Right Worshipful Mayor of Gloucester, Councillor Colin Organ commented: “I was delighted to visit the site of McCarthy Stone’s forthcoming development in Gloucester, and to have the honour of laying a date brick. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet the construction team and to hear first-hand about the benefits of living in a high quality retirement community. I look forward to seeing construction progress at this new dual development, which will boost the choice of privately-owned downsizing properties for retirees in Gloucester and surrounding areas.
