‘’When I heard about the One Lottery it was a no brainer to join, it would provide a bit of weekly excitement for the family and the chance to help local charities and organisations at the same time. I had only been playing for three weeks before I won £107!” Katie, lottery winner and McCarthy Stone employee
Good reasons to join our weekly online charity lottery
The McCarthy Stone Foundation supports charities that promote:
• The health and wellbeing of older people
• The education of young people
• Urban regeneration
• The coming together of different generations and diverse communities to achieve positive change.
It does all this by providing local charities and organisations with financial grants, volunteers and resources. The charity lottery aims to help the foundation to fund its financial grants by raising over £13.5k a year.
Lottery grants for charities
Despite it being early days, the foundation has made several lottery donations to charity already, including a £250 grant to Community Life Hub Group in Cullompton, Devon. This charity supports people living with dementia or suffering from cognitive impairment. And £250 to Access Dorset in Bournemouth [pictured at top of the page]. Their community café provides a hub for older people to meet and socialise, reducing isolation and loneliness.
How much of a lottery ticket goes to charity?
80% of the lottery ticket price goes towards our causes and prizes.

I chose to support the McCarthy Stone Lottery and Foundation because it means I can support local good causes in the areas we work and where our homeowners live. I was so excited to see that I had won.
