Homeowners and staff at McCarthy Stone’s Swift House Retirement Living Plus development on St Luke’s Road in Maidenhead recently opened up their doors to local retirees and their grandchildren for an afternoon of Halloween spooktacular fun.

Guests and their grandchildren who attended the event enjoyed an eerie afternoon in the communal lounge full of terrifying tricks, tempting treats and spooky surprises.

As well as getting into the Halloween spirit, guests were able take a closer look at the lifestyle on offer at Swift House, by taking a tour of the show complex, meeting the McCarthy Stone team, and chatting with retirees who are already living at the development.

Julie Ward, National Sales Director for McCarthy Stone, said: “Our haunting Halloween event was a huge success for residents, local retirees and their families. Everyone who dressed up looked terrific and it was lovely to see those of all ages enjoying the afternoon at Swift House

“The event was a fantastic opportunity for those currently living in and around Maidenhead to explore Swift House for themselves and experience the lifestyle residents enjoy at the development, whilst having a bit of Halloween fun.”

Swift House features a high-quality table-service restaurant providing fresh cooked meals daily, a spacious and contemporary communal lounge, beautiful landscaped gardens, and a convenient guest suite for when friends and family come to visit.

An Estates Manager is on hand to take care of the smooth-running of the development; while security entrance systems and 24-hour emergency call points provide added reassurance for residents and their families.

Bridging the gap between conventional Retirement Living and residential care, Retirement Living Plus enables older people to retain independence in the form of home ownership, yet still have the peace-of-mind of a range of additional security and support services. Bespoke personal packages are available for retirees who need extra support – from help with laundry or cleaning, to round the clock personal care to suit their individual needs.

Situated close to the heart of Maidenhead, Swift House has a number of local amenities nearby, including The Nicholsons Shopping Centre, a library, and a large selection of restaurants and cafes. Maidenhead also offers easy access to Reading and the west, as well as London Paddington, Marlow and Windsor.
