Chipping Norton retirees joined journalist and presenter, Gloria Hunniford, to celebrate the grand opening of McCarthy Stone’s new Retirement Living Plus development, Watson Place, on Trinity Road.
Gloria Hunniford joined homeowners and guests to perform the ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the new development, which features a stylish collection of 59 privately-owned one and two bedroom Retirement Living Plus apartments.
Designed exclusively for those aged 70 and over, McCarthy Stone’s Retirement Living Plus developments give homeowners access to tailored domestic and personal assistance packages to help them manage their day-to-day lives.
Attendees at the Watson Place official opening had the opportunity to chat with Gloria one-on-one, and to meet the friendly McCarthy Stone team at the development. Guests also had the honour of being among the first to take a tour of the brand new development, including the elegant homeowners’ lounge and on-site restaurant, all whilst enjoying a glass of fizz.
Speaking of the event, Gloria Hunniford commented: “It was an absolute pleasure to mark the official opening of McCarthy Stone’s new Retirement Living Plus development in Chipping Norton, and to meet with guests and staff. It was great to see first-hand what a fantastic development Watson Place is and the many benefits it will bring to retirees.”
Clare Bright, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy Stone West Midlands, said: “We are very proud of Watson Place and it was our pleasure to showcase this superb new development with such an enjoyable event. Everyone had a great time raising a glass to commemorate this important milestone; and the McCarthy Stone team would like to say thank you to Gloria Hunniford, for performing the all-important ceremonial duties.”
Bridging the gap between conventional Retirement Living and residential care, Retirement Living Plus enables older people to retain independence in the form of home ownership, yet still have the peace-of-mind of a range of additional security and support services. Bespoke personal packages are available for retirees who need extra support – from help with laundry or cleaning, to round the clock personal care to suit their individual needs.
An Estates Manager is on hand to take care of the smooth-running of the development; while security entrance systems and 24-hour emergency call points provide added reassurance for homeowners and their families.
Prices at Watson Place currently start from £254,950 for a one bedroom apartment and £324,950 for a two-bedroom apartment.
McCarthy Stone’s Part Exchange scheme is currently available for eligible home buyers at Watson Place, making it even easier for discerning purchasers to secure an apartment at the development. All those who take advantage of Part Exchange stand to benefit from not having to pay estate agents’ fees; there is no risky property chain and no need to go to the trouble of organising viewings.
More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 13 years’ running. McCarthy Stone is the only UK house builder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 13 years, which is every year the awards have been run.
