New retirement living plus complex launched in Bristol

Last week saw the grand opening of McCarthy Stone’s new Retirement Living Plus development, Magpie Court, on Hanham High Street in Bristol. 

The McCarthy Stone team at the development were joined by Bristol retirees and their relatives for an open day to celebrate the latest milestone at Magpie Court, where more than 50 per cent of the apartments have already been reserved.  

Many local people turned out for the event, where live entertainment was provided by a Michael Bublé tribute act.  The professionally-styled show complex at Magpie Court was unveiled on the day, and guests took the opportunity to take a closer look at the layout and specification of the apartments. 

Visitors were also invited to spend time in the social spaces, such as the homeowners’ lounge, bistro and function room, and they were also able to walk around the landscaped gardens and get a feel for the low maintenance lifestyle they could enjoy at the development.

Magpie Court has been designed for the over 70s, and future homeowners will benefit from having an Estates Management team on-site 24 hours a day.  Tailored care packages and domestic support will be available for those who need a helping hand.
