McCarthy Stone, the housebuilder behind the Tyefield Place Retirement Living development on the High Street in Hadleigh, has donated £500 to Hadleigh Elderly People’s Welfare Committee.
The small charity in Hadleigh organizes a variety of social outings for the over 60s, such as theatre trips and coach outings, with its members at the heart of everything it does. Retirees have the chance to meet new friends in a relaxing and supportive environment, and the group provides a vital friendship link for those feeling isolated.
Andrew Cummins, Chair of Hadleigh Elderly People’s Welfare Committee joined McCarthy Stone Sales Consultant, Kirsty Pope, to receive the cheque for £500.
Cheryl Bissett, Regional Sales and Marketing Director at McCarthy Stone East Midlands, said: “We are delighted to make a donation to Hadleigh Elderly People’s Welfare Committee – it is such a worthy local cause. Run entirely by volunteers, we were keen to show our support for a group that allows retirees to enjoy the company of like-minded individuals in a warm and welcoming environment.”
“A tight-knit community and companionship are among the many benefits of living in a McCarthy Stone development, and it is our pleasure to give a helping hand to those who share our values and who are also making a difference to the lives of older people in the community.”
Andrew Cummins commented: “Hadleigh Elderly People’s Welfare Committee is very grateful to McCarthy Stone for this donation which will help us continue our valuable work supporting local residents in and around Hadleigh.”
Currently under construction on High Street, Tyefield Place will eventually comprise 35 one and two bedroom apartments, exclusively for those aged 60 and over. Prices currently start from £219,950 for a one bedroom apartment and £289,950 for a two bedroom apartment.
Tyefield Place will feature a homeowners’ lounge, ideal for socialising with friends; a convenient guest suite, should homeowners have friends or family to stay; and landscaped gardens which will be fully maintained by experts. A House Manager will take care of the smooth-running of the development, while video entry and a 24-hour emergency call system will provide added peace-of-mind.
Located in the heart of Hadleigh, Tyefield Place will be within easy reach of all the town’s amenities, including supermarkets and shops. Many homeowners will also be treated to incredible views across the River Brett and the surrounding meadowland.
More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 14 years’ running. McCarthy Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 14 years, which is every year the awards have been run.
