McCarthy Stone appoints Angela Harding as new Services Operations Director

McCarthy Stone, the UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, has today announced the appointment of Angela Harding as its new Services Operations Director.
Angela joins the business following 16 years at the Extra Care Charitable Trust (ECCT) as HR Director and then Executive Director Operations. ECCT is the UK’s leading not-for-profit developer and operator of retirement villages. Angela was responsible for the operation of the Charity’s 21 large scale locations providing multi tenure homes, active and healthy lifestyles and care when needed. She was also responsible for leading the ECCT’s customer services work.
Angela will report directly to Fiona Carleton, the newly appointed Managing Director of the Services division, and will be part of her leadership team.
Angela will be responsible for the further development of operations, customer service and the care and support offering across all of McCarthy Stone’s 450 retirement communities, which support its 20,000 customers. In this role, Angela will drive forward the business’ commitment to continue to offer homeowners a broad range of services to create vibrant communities and ensure support is shaped around customers’ evolving wants and needs.
With Angela’s extensive experience in the housing with care sector, she is well placed to further develop the McCarthy Stone Extra Care offering at its 100 Retirement Living Plus Extra Care schemes across the UK.
