Mayor and Mayoress of Tunbridge Wells officially open McCarthy Stone Development

Guests joined the Mayor and Mayoress of Tunbridge Wells, Councillor Len Horwood and Mrs Judy Horwood and the Town Mayor of Southborough, Councillor Zulhash Uddin and Councillor Ian Kinghorn to celebrate the grand opening of McCarthy Stone’s new Retirement Living development, Southborough Gate, on Pinewood Gardens.

 

As McCarthy Stone’s guests of honour, Councillor Len Horwood and Mrs Judy Horwood, Councillor Zulhash Uddin and Councillor Ian Kinghorn performed the ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the new age-exclusive development. Local retirees who attended on the day were among the first to take a closer look at the professionally-styled show complex at Southborough Gate.

 

They also had the opportunity to find out more about Retirement Living, and to meet the friendly McCarthy Stone team while enjoying a celebratory glass of fizz. Visiting the development for the first time, Councillor Len Horwood commented: “It was an absolute pleasure to mark the official opening of McCarthy Stone’s new Retirement Living development in Tunbridge Wells, and to meet with homeowners and staff.

 

It was great to see first-hand what a fantastic development Southborough Gate is and the many benefits it will bring to local retirees.”  Cllr Zulhash Uddin, Town Mayor of Southborough said: “It was fantastic to celebrate the grand opening of McCarthy Stone new Retirement Living development, Southborough Gate, on Pinewood Gardens.
