McCarthy Stone, the retirement developer behind the latest Retirement Living Plus Market Harborough development, Elizabeth Place has given Meadowdale Primary School a huge boost with a £500 donation towards its forest project.
The school’s on-site forest has been designed to enable the pupils to get outside and learn more about the environment, as well as take care of the forest’s resident chickens. The donation will help to maintain the forest, and was presented to the school by residents of Elizabeth Place, who also shared some of their gardening tips with the younger generation.
Liz Martin, Head of School at Meadowdale Primary School, said: “We are so grateful for the generous donation from McCarthy Stone, it will really help us continue to develop our forest project that our pupils have really taken to. It was really great to see the residents chatting with the children as well and sharing their knowledge.”
Samantha Watkins, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy Stone Midlands, added: “We are delighted to offer Meadowdale Primary School our support with their forest project. Not only does it provide a boost to the local school it also offers our residents a chance show off their green fingers.”
