McCarthy Stone, the developer behind the Lowe House Retirement Living Plus development on London Road in Knebworth, has donated £200 to the Knebworth Community Chorus.
Knebworth Community Chorus is a friendly and sociable choir with over 50 members, drawn from Knebworth and the surrounding areas. With a repertoire ranging from the great choral masterpieces to less well-known works, the choir holds weekly rehearsals in the lead up to its annual summer and Christmas concerts for local people to enjoy.
McCarthy Stone’s Sales Consultants, Danielle Piggott & Nicola Humm presented Martin Roche, Chairman of Knebworth Community Chorus with a cheque for £200, which will be used towards the costs of involving professional musicians in the choirs upcoming concerts.
Martin Roche, Chairman at Knebworth Community Chorus, said: “We are very grateful to McCarthy Stone for its generous donation. The choir provides a fantastic opportunity for local people to get-together, to enjoy the wonderfully uplifting experience of singing and to make great music alongside professional musicians for performers and audience alike to enjoy. It is also a fun and sociable group. We rely solely on the generosity of local people and businesses, so securing this donation from McCarthy Stone gives us a real boost and helps us to continue to rehearse and perform in Knebworth.”
Julie Ward, National Sales Director for McCarthy Stone, comments: “As a company, we appreciateour responsibilities go further than building quality retirement apartments, and we also seek to create a positive legacy in the towns and cities in which we build.
“We were delighted to present this donation to Knebworth Community Chorus. We understand how vital it is to support the wider community and the team at McCarthy Stone’s Lowe House development wishes everyone involved with Knebworth Community Chorus every success in their future performances.”
