The people of Hadleigh joined local Councillor, Sian Dawson, to celebrate the sparkling opening of McCarthy Stone’s new Retirement Living development, Tyefield Place, on Pound Lane.

As McCarthy Stone’s guest of honour, Councillor Dawson performed the ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the new age-exclusive development.

Local retirees who attended on the day were invited to take a closer look at Tyefield Place. They also had the opportunity to meet the friendly McCarthy Stone team whilst enjoying a celebratory glass of fizz.

Visiting the development, Councillor Sian Dawson commented: “It was an absolute pleasure to mark the official opening of McCarthy Stone’s new Retirement Living development in Hadleigh, and to meet with homeowners and staff. It was great to see first-hand what a fantastic development Tyefield Placeis and the many benefits it will bring to local retirees.”

Samantha Watkins, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy Stone East Midlands, said: “We are very proud of Tyefield Place and it was our pleasure to showcase this superb new development with such an enjoyable event. Everyone had a great time raising a glass to commemorate this important milestone; and the McCarthy Stone team would like to say thank you to Councillor Sian Dawson for performing the all-important ceremonial duties.”

Comprising of 16 one and 19 two-bedroom privately-owned apartments exclusively for the over 60s, Tyefield Place welcomed its first homeowners in August.

Homeowners at Tyefield Place will not only be able to relax in the homeowners’ lounge, they will also be able to make the most of the beautiful landscaped gardens, knowing all the maintenance is taken care of by McCarthy Stone.  A House Manager will oversee the day-to-day running of the development, while a secure entry system and 24 hour emergency call system will provide added peace-of-mind for homeowners and their families.

Located in the heart of Hadleigh, Tyefield Place is within easy reach of all the town’s amenities, including supermarkets and shops. Many homeowners will also be treated to incredible views across the River Brett and the surrounding meadowland.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 14 years’ running.  McCarthy Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 14 years, which is every year the awards have been run.
