Local residents, community partners and stakeholders were welcomed this week to an early preview of the new show apartments, offering a first look at how the development has been shaped around real lives, real routines and a strong sense of belonging.
More than a building, Flora Place has been created as a long-term asset for the area. The project has already contributed to the local economy through the use of regional contractors, suppliers and professional services, with further employment opportunities planned as the development becomes fully operational.
Rebecca Johnson, Sales Director at McCarthy & Stone, commented:
From the very beginning, our aim has been to create a place that feels part of Liphook, not separate from it. That means listening early, working with local people, and designing spaces that make everyday life feel easier, more connected and firmly rooted in the community.
Early engagement has included conversations with nearby residents, local groups and organisations to help ensure the development complements the existing neighbourhood and responds to what people value most about living locally, with ongoing dialogue planned as the community continues to take shape.
The show apartments have been carefully designed to support flexible, independent living, with layouts that feel comfortable and intuitive rather than clinical or institutional. Shared areas are intended to encourage everyday interaction—whether that’s a friendly chat, a quiet moment, or simply knowing you’re part of a wider community.
Following the opening, priority one-to-one tours are now available for those who would like more time to explore the show apartments and ask questions at their own pace. These personalised visits are designed to be informal and informative, offering reassurance rather than pressure.
For added peace of mind, a House Manager will be on-site during office hours to oversee the day-to-day running of the development, while a 24/7 emergency call system and camera entry system in each apartment will help homeowners feel safe and secure.
More than 9 out of 10 customers would recommend McCarthy & Stone to a friend, earning the company the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation. McCarthy & Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to have achieved this rating every year it has taken part in the survey.
