The McCarthy Stone team at the Pinnoc Mews Retirement Living development on Bakers Way in Exeter has donated £250 to the Exeter Foodbank.
The Exeter Foodbank was originally founded in 2008 by local churches and community groups to help local people in need. The donation by McCarthy Stone will help with the day-to-day running of the Foodbank, which offers three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to those who are in crisis.
Chas Malek, Sales Consultant from McCarthy Stone, presented the cheque to Mark Richardson, Manager of the Exeter Foodbank, alongside several volunteers.
Mark Richardson commented: “At the Exeter Foodbank, we are dedicated to supporting the local community as much as we can. We want to make sure that no one has to go hungry, however, in order to do this, we are dependent on the support of others. So, we are absolutely thrilled to have received £250 from McCarthy Stone, and we can’t thank the team at Pinnoc Mews enough.”
Geoff Bates, Head of Marketing for McCarthy Stone South, commented: “An important part of what we do here at McCarthy Stone is to support initiatives in the towns and communities in which we are building – to help create a lasting, positive legacy.
“It was an absolute pleasure to present this donation to the team at Exeter Foodbank. All of us here at Pinnoc Mews wish them every success with their work in helping to improve lives of so many within the community.”
