Devizes locals recently joined residents at McCarthy Stone’s Shackleton Place Retirement Living Plus development to get into the Christmas spirit at an exclusive free festive event.
Those who came along were treated to mouth-watering mince pies and a warming glass or two of mulled wine, all whilst enjoying a sparkling showcase by members of the Devizes Town Band, who performed live renditions of festive favourites.
The Devizes Town Band performed at Shackleton Place in aid of Alzheimer’s Support, with McCarthy Stone donating £50 to the charity.
The event was part of McCarthy Stone’s series of Christmas events, which are happening at selected developments across the UK throughout December, and have been inspired by the social tradition of days gone-by that sees friends and family gather at home to celebrate the festive season. Everyone who attended also had the opportunity to take a tour of Shackleton Place, meet with current residents, and find out more about the lifestyle that McCarthy Stone offers.
