Chorley Mayor, Margaret Lees, has marked the start of construction at McCarthy Stone’s new Retirement Living development in Chorley.
Councillor Lees joined developers at McCarthy Stone’s latest site on Preston Road to explore development plans and perform a brick laying ceremony to officially celebrate the start of construction.
When the build programme is complete in summer 2019, the Retirement Living development will comprise of 23 one bed and 18 two bed apartments exclusively available for the over 60s
Councillor Margaret Lees, commented: “It was a pleasure to visit the site of McCarthy Stone’s newest development in Chorley and to mark the start of construction there. The plans for the build look fantastic and it’s hugely exciting that construction is now under way. I’m sure future homeowners will be very happy with the development and I look forward to seeing it when it’s complete.”
