Local retirees celebrated the start of the new season with a Spring Fair at McCarthy Stone’s Retirement Living development in Thornton Cleveleys, Burrstone Grange.
Taking place at the development on Poachers Way between, retirees enjoyed afternoon tea with a selection of fresh sandwiches and cakes, as well as live entertainment from the Bluebird Belles, a professional 1940s and vintage vocal harmony trio. The fair also raised money with a charity raffle for Coram Beanstalk, McCarthy Stone’s chosen national charity of the year which aims to tackle child illiteracy.

The live music from the Bluebird Belles was fantastic, who performed a catalogue of timeless songs from the 1940s which many of the homeowners and local retirees don’t get to hear anymore. Most importantly though, we were able to raise much-needed funds for a well-worthy cause!”
