Residents at McCarthy Stone’s Lock House Retirement Living development in Taunton have launched an appeal to find ‘the missing pieces in its puzzle’ to complete their vibrant new community.
With just four apartments remaining at Lock House, retirees are being urged to make the most of their last chance to come forward and join the fantastic set-up at the development on Keeper Close, where a mixture of couples and single residents currently live.
Comprising a selection of one and two bedroom Retirement Living apartments, exclusively designed for people aged 60 and over, Lock House provides everything residents could want for a relaxing retirement.
Residents at Lock House, Ronald and Sally Breeden, moved half way across the world from Tasmania to Taunton, where they have now found their dream home at the development. Sally says: “We are thrilled with our decision to move to Lock House. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, they have made us feel right at home. There is also so much to do here, so we really do feel like part of a community.”
Geoff Bates, Head of Marketing for McCarthy Stone South, said: “Since we first opened the doors at Lock House we’ve had an incredible amount of interest in the development, particularly from local people who want to enjoy their retirement in the area they are familiar with, but were looking to downsize to a more manageable and lower maintenance property.
“With the final four apartments remaining at Lock House, I would urge retirees to get in touch before it’s too late. Once moved in, the new residents will join the development’s bustling community – a place in which retirees are enjoying the very best in independent living within a safe and secure environment; with the opportunity to benefit from companionship when they want it and peace and quiet when they need it.”
McCarthy Stone’s Retirement Living developments, such as Lock House, offer residents the opportunity to downsize and maintain an active, independent lifestyle, surrounded by like-minded individuals. Lock House has its own gym, and a communal lounge. This development also features a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Quantocks, the Black Down Hills, the River Tone and surrounding Firepool area. Residents feel secure in the knowledge that the House Manager is on hand to provide any help or support should they need it.
