Amersham Band Room Project Off the Ground Thanks to 2500 Bricks from McCarthy Stone

McCarthy Stone, the housebuilder behind the Chiltern Place Retirement Living Plus development in Amersham, has given Amersham Band a helping hand with a donation of 2,500 bricks for their new band room project. 

The band room is expected to be finished by summer 2020 and once complete, the band room will comprise of a single-story community building with a band hall, two teaching rooms, a library and other communal areas, with parking space for up to 24 vehicles. 

Caroline Perkins, Band Manager at Amersham Band, commented: “McCarthy Stone’s generous donation of 2,500 bricks has given a tremendous boost to our new band room project at our site on the corner of Rectory Hill and School Lane. The band room will make a huge difference to Amersham band, providing 'providing a state of the art rehearsal space and teaching and learning rooms that will benefit the whole community.”
