£130,000 and Counting

This year we partnered with Coram Beanstalk to raise at least £100,000 to support the charities reading programmes and help ensure that no child is left behind because of poor literacy. We have encouraged homeowners and staff to volunteer and support disadvantaged children in their local area and are proud of each and every contribution made this year.

Head Office

As the Rugby World Cup kicked off in Japan, staff from Head Office dressed up in costumes from around the world and shared delicious dishes inspired by different cultures raising a fantastic £232.93 for Beanstalk.

Beanstalk Bike Ride

Nine members of our North London team took to the saddle to take part in a gruelling 100k bike ride across Hertfordshire raising over £10,000 for Beanstalk. Over the course of the day the cyclists used their pedal power to ride across the region, making stops at McCarthy Stone developments in Knebworth, Hertford, Waltham Abbey, Borehamwood and St Albans, before reaching our North London Head Office in Hatfield to complete the challenge.

North East Winter Ball

Many congratulations to our North East team for raising a phenomenal £22,100 for Beanstalk at their Winter Ball. Held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, Lucy Colley, Cate Palmer, Liz Green and Declan Fishwick organised the black-tie fundraiser for 320 people. Dressed in gorgeous gowns and smart suits, the guests enjoyed dinner, fizz and dancing ‘til dawn along to a fantastic 80’s band.

The team had organised celebrity videos in support of Beanstalk including actress Fay Ripley (Cold Feet), Presenter Gyles Brandbreth and Joe Wicks: The Body Coach. Guests were also spoilt to an auction presented by BBC’s antiques expert David Harper where the grand prizes included a Vineyard Escape for Two and a Virgin Hot Air Balloon Ride.

Rykeneld Court

The residents at Rykeneld Court are a generous bunch, raising over £2,600 for chosen charities since opening in 2016. As well as raising hundreds of pounds for the Air Ambulance at their Fundraising Day this year, residents participated in the Smarties tube challenge donating a grand total of £400 to Beanstalk. Amy Lewis, Beanstalk's Training & Development Manager was delighted to attend a presentation of the cheque back in the summer.

South East Golf Day

The South East region held a fantastically successful Charity Golf Day raising over £39,000 for Beanstalk. The event was incredibly well supported by the region's whole supply chain, with more than 80 golfers playing.

Come evening, a dinner was held for 120 people where guests heard from Hannah Seers on behalf of Beanstalk and also a video from comedian and Beanstalk ambassador Jack Whitehall.
