THE LOCAL AREA

Living in Bagshot

Bagshot is a vibrant village located on the A30. The village is known for its strong community spirit, and regular events are held for residents throughout the year, including a May Day village day, a Christmas carol service, children's treasure hunts around the village and street parties for special occasions, such as royal weddings.  

Directly outside the development, you'll find a petrol station and a Marks & Spencer. However, the local village is practically on the doorstep of the development, and here you'll find all the amenities you require in order to enjoy a full and active retirement, including clothing shops, a dental surgery, a post office, a pharmacy, a library and a couple of supermarkets.

A little over half a mile away from the development you'll also find Bagshot Park, a royal residence owned by the Crown Estate and the current home of the Earl and Countess of Wessex. The park is not open to the public, but you can catch glimpses of the house from the main roads. 

Bagshot also has excellent transport links, including a train station only a short walk away from the development. The station also has ramp access for wheelchairs, should it be required. From Bagshot train station, you can reach London Waterloo in just over an hour, while towns such as Ascot, Camberley and Guildford are all within easy reach. Local bus services also run regularly, providing easy access to surrounding towns such as Staines, Camberley and Egham.
