Coming soon! A brand new retirement village in Wimborne, Dorset.
McCarthy Stone's brand new retirement village 'The Old Market Village’ is currently in construction and will feature bungalows and chalet bungalows known as 'The Old Market Gardens’ and apartments known as ‘Market House’ all of which are set within a beautiful village green.
The Old Market Gardens bungalows will consist of 32 stunning retirement bungalows, exclusive to the over 65s and conveniently located in the historic town of Wimborne Minster, Dorset. All of the spacious bungalows will offer two double bedrooms, and eight will be built as chalet style bungalows. These will have the additional benefit of a study. All McCarthy Stone retirement properties are designed to be a pleasure to live in, with high spec and quality fixtures and fittings throughout.
The bungalows will be centred around a lovely village green. Ideal for meetings, events and parties, the space is to be the beating heart of this retirement community. Just off the village green, you’ll find a wellness zone offering health and fitness studios, as well as a hair and beauty salon and a sociable communal lounge. There will be a bistro, so you’ll be able to meet your friends and family for a morning coffee or enjoy a long lingering lunch with a glass or two of wine. You’ll also find a pretty rural walking trail leading from the development.
Wimborne Minster is a picturesque and historic market town with Roman origins and an idyllic position on the banks of the rivers Stour and Allen. As well as the famous Minister Church with its many treasures, including a chained library, you can’t miss the unusual Wimborne Model Town and Gardens. An intricate miniature version of Wimborne in the 1950s, complete with flushing toilets, it’s a must see.
