Things to do in Middlewich
Well known for the three canals that run through its centre, Middlewich is a charming town in the heart of leafy Cheshire.
Middlewich also hosts the very popular FAB (Folk and Narrowboat) Festival each year. Attracting visitors from all over the world, it's a long weekend of music, dance, narrowboats and market stalls. From the FAB Main stage, the festival spreads throughout the town, from dance parades through the streets to shows at the iconic Bull Ring amphitheatre. The nearby towns of Northwich and Knutsford also have plenty to offer. A bustling market town with a rich history and ties to the salt industry, Northwich is a great place for a day out.
For the foodies among you, Knutsford is renowned for its array of eateries, markets and locally sourced produce. For other great days out, Jodrell Bank is only a 20-minute drive away. Visit the Discovery Centre to learn about the site's giant Lovell Telescope and explore the universe's secrets. And just 30 minutes by car you'll find Tatton Park. With a Tudor hall, a neo-classical mansion, 50 acres of landscaped gardens and 1000 acres of deer park, you'll be back again and again to explore all this wondrous estate has to offer.
The development is located right on Wheelock Street, which is home to a number of shops, cafés and bars.
Fountain Fields is 0.3 miles away. This is an urban park that is perfect for a leisurely walk. Alternatively, you could go for a stroll along Middlewich Town Wharf, which is 0.2 miles away and runs along the Trent and Mersey Canal.
