Things to do in Baldock
Life in Baldock
This popular market town is packed with charm and character, as well as plenty to do. It has a long and interesting history and is thought to have been was founded by the Knights Templar in the 1140s. Its rich architecture includes Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and even Art Deco buildings.
The town benefits from an array of local amenities making it ideal for retirement living, including a large Tesco Extra, a post office, library, dentist, several hairdressers and a sports centre.
Foodies will love the many independent food retailers, restaurants and pubs in the town, including an award-winning butcher, popular bakery and much-loved Italian deli. The town is also renowned for its local cider.
Out and about
