In terms of facilities, Marlborough offers a range of independent boutiques and cosy cafes, as well as a twice-weekly market on Saturdays and Wednesdays, which offers a range of local specialities including meat, vegetables, pottery and plants. 

Those with a love of the great outdoors won't be disappointed in Marlborough. The local Savernake Forest is a prime spot for hikers and cyclists, especially during the spring months when the woodland fills with bluebells. There are also horse riding, shooting and fishing opportunities, as well as two golf clubs, Marlborough Golf Club and Ogbourne Downs Golf Club. In October, 'big mop' and 'little mop' fun fairs take centre stage. Throughout the year, residents and visitors can also enjoy the range of food and craft fairs that Marlborough plays host to.

Transport links include Pewsey and Bedwyn train stations. There are also regular buses to neighbouring towns. Drivers will also be pleased with the well-connected roads, including the A4 to Chippenham and Newbury, and the A346 connecting to the M4 motorway.
