The town has a huge array of amenities including the beautiful, traditional Lyceum theatre which puts on a wide range of performances from stand-up comedy to musicals.
It has a strong identity and community spirit, with lots of clubs and events including quizzes and live music at the Old Market Hall. This is also home to an eclectic range of independent shops and street food and there is a regular outdoor market too.
