Inspiring Interiors: Terms and Conditions

• Customers who reserve a property between the 16th April and the 31st July 2022 and subsequently legally complete the purchase of the property (or sign a tenancy agreement) on or before 30th September 2022 will receive a £500 John Lewis Gift Card.

• Offer opens on 16th April 2022 and closes on 31st July 2022. Reservations made after 31st July will not be eligible for this offer.

• Offer only available at participating selling developments. This offer is not available on any Coming Soon or Off Plan developments. Please contact a Sales Consultant for further details on eligible developments.

• Restricted to a maximum of one gift card per reservation. For the avoidance of doubt, this shall mean that notwithstanding that the reservation is made by an individual or a couple, only one gift card will be available.

• Offer is not available to existing McCarthy Stone homeowners.

• Offer is not available on resale properties

• Offer is not available in conjunction with any other promotional offer, including events unless otherwise specified.

• McCarthy Stone reserve all rights to withdraw this promotion at any time and without notice.

• The £500 Gift card will be supplied within 28 business days of legal completion of the purchase of a property.

Entry rules

• In order to be eligible for entry into the prize draw, you must reserve a property between the 16th April and the 31st July 2022 and legally complete the purchase of a property (or sign a tenancy agreement) by 30th September 2022.

• We will automatically enter you into the prize draw upon completion of a property unless you tell us that you do not want to be entered into the prize draw.

• This competition is open to McCarthy Stone customers who reserve and complete on the purchase of a property or legally complete a rental tenancy agreement in accordance with the above specified dates.

• The prize draw opens on 16th April 2022 and closes on 31st July 2022. Reservations made after 31st July 2022 will not be eligible.

• There will be one winner of the prize who will receive a John Lewis interior design makeover of their property worth up to £20,000. For the avoidance of doubt, where a couple purchases or rents a property, this will be considered as one entry.

• McCarthy Stone will contact the winner within 14 days of the closing date by email. We may also attempt to contact the winner by phone.

The Prize

• The winner will receive: o Free Home design services provided by John Lewis, including free consultations with a John Lewis Home Design Stylist.

o McCarthy Stone will pay for your property to be furnished and decorated with John Lewis goods and furniture up to the value of £20,000, including VAT.

• The following are excluded from the prize and shall not be within scope of the interior makeover:

o Bathroom and kitchen fixtures

o Appliances o White goods

o Electricals and technology

o Flooring and/or tiling, except carpets.

• The prize shall be worth up to £20,000 and this sum shall be to cover the cost of the entire project, including but not limited to any necessary labour provided by external contractors, including but not limited to painting, decorating, carpet fitting, installation, delivery and removal fees.

• As part of the interior makeover, the winner must select products from John Lewis only and shall not be entitled to products or interior design services from any other retailer or provider.

• Any John Lewis products selected as part of the property makeover shall be selected from the John Lewis catalogue only and shall be ready to order products. The prize does not include bespoke products.

• Any design and/or renovation work offered as part of the prize is subject at all times to availability. Timeframes may vary and McCarthy Stone does not commit to meet any timeframe. Timeframes may be imposed by McCarthy Stone at its sole discretion. This applies to the provision of any services, products, furniture or any other goods or services supplied as part of the prize.

• The prize winner will not be able to the claim the prize or begin the interior makeover process until after legal completion of their purchase.

• Where the winner of the prize is a tenant under a rental agreement, the makeover shall be strictly subject to any restrictions within their tenancy agreement. Any alterations will be subject to written landlord approval. It may be that we will ask you to return the property back to its original condition if your request is cosmetic (decorating) and to remove any fixtures or fittings making good the property where fitted. Any changes to flooring are not permitted.

• McCarthy Stone will retain the exclusive benefit of any discounts it may negotiate or receive from John Lewis and any such discounts will not be available for use by the winner and will not increase the agreed spend of £20,000.

• The winner accepts the prize and the end result of the property makeover entirely at their own risk and McCarthy Stone excludes all liability in this regard. It is the prize winner’s responsibility to work with the John Lewis Home Design Stylist to ensure they are happy with the end result of the property makeover. McCarthy Stone does not accept any responsibility in this regard.

• The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and there is no cash alternative.

General

• McCarthy Stone’s decision will be final and no correspondence or negotiation will be entered in to.

• In the event that the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of the closing date, an alternative winner will be selected.

• Prizes are subject to availability.

• McCarthy Stone reserves the right to withdraw or amend this prize draw in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside of their reasonable control.

• McCarthy Stone reserves the right to terminate or temporarily suspend this prize draw in the event of technical or other difficulties that might compromise its integrity.

• Participants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in this competition.

• You agree that McCarthy Stone may take photographs and video footage during the interior makeover process for marketing purposes.

• You will allow McCarthy Stone access to the property at various stages throughout the interior makeover process for the purpose of delivery of goods, installation as well as for the purpose of obtaining marketing material, including taking photographs of the property.

• You acknowledge and agree that any material, including but not limited to photographs and video footage may be used by McCarthy Stone for promotional and marketing purposes now or in any future McCarthy Stone marketing campaigns. This includes publications on the McCarthy Stone website and any editorial adverts.

• Offer opens on 16th April 2022 and closes on 31st July 2022.

• Customers who visit and take a full guided tour of a participating McCarthy Stone development with the sales consultant between the 16th April and the 31st July 2022 will receive a £20 John Lewis Gift Card.
