Foundation Calendar Competition. Terms and Conditions

  1. The competition is open to McCarthy Stone homeowners and staff.
  2. Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant. All entrants warrant that they own the photos submitted and they have exclusive copyright.
  3. Photographs must be in Landscape format and high resolution, ideally at 300dpi. To check this you can look at the file size (Over 2MB is preferable). To check, enlarge your photo to 200% on screen from the size it will be printed, if it looks sharp it should be ok for calendar printing.
  4. Entries submitted after the closing date will not be eligible
  5. The closing date for receipt of entries is midnight on Wednesday 1st of September 2021.

  7. McCarthy Stone reserves the right to disqualify inappropriate, incomplete or illegible entries.
  8. Entrants may enter a maximum of four photos in total (one for each season) and may only enter once.
  9. Entrants must be aged 18 and over.
  10. By entering into the competition, the entrant automatically grants McCarthy Stone with an unrestricted, non-exclusive, irrevocable and perpetual licence to use any photograph submitted to the competition for any purpose in which McCarthy Stone deem appropriate for their own business purposes. Photographers will receive credit with each use.
  11. This competition will be judged internally, in an independent and fair manner. The judges' decision is final, and no individual correspondence shall be entered into. Judges are unable to comment on individual entries.
  12. Entering the competition implies acceptance of all the above rules. Failure to comply with the entry requirements will result in disqualification. McCarthy Stone reserve the right to withdraw this competition as a result of unforeseen circumstances arising.
  13. There will be 13 winners, and each will receive a copy of the McCarthy Stone Foundation calendar. The winning photos will also be featured in the next edition of Emerald magazine (Christmas 2021).
  14. Prize winners will be notified by email by Friday 17th September 2021. If the winners cannot be contacted within one week McCarthy Stone reserve the right to choose an alternative winner.
  15. The winners agree to be contacted to take part in a non-paid publicity following their photography being chosen, relating to the competition. Winners do not have to agree to take part.
  16. All 13 winning pieces of artwork will be featured in the 2022 McCarthy Stone Foundation calendar. All profits from the calendar will go towards the McCarthy Stone Foundation, which is a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in England and Wales No. 1191504.   17. The entrant’s personal data shall only be used for the proper administration of the competition unless the entrant has expressly opted in to receiving future marketing communications from McCarthy Stone via the entry form.
