Occupancy Information

Your occupancy options

You can rent a retirement home on this development. Renting is an easy, flexible and quick way to enjoy life in a McCarthy & Stone community. Did you know? When you rent the Service Charge is paid by the property owner, not by the tenant.

A holding deposit is required to reserve a rental property. A security deposit will also be required before the tenancy begins, with the amount and any property-specific requirements detailed within the individual property advert.

How much is the deposit

Reservation deposit* £150.00

* This is a deposit payable to reserve a property. Once the tenancy has been agreed, your reservation deposit will be offset against the first month’s rent. Note this will be withheld if any relevant person (including any guarantor(s)) withdraw from the tenancy, fail a Right-to-Rent check, provide materially significant false or misleading information, or fail to sign their tenancy agreement (and/or Deed of Guarantee) within 15 calendar days (or other Deadline for Agreement as mutually agreed in writing).

Your service charge explained

Our service charge helps keep the shared areas of your development safe, welcoming, and well looked after, so you can spend less time worrying about maintenance and more time enjoying retirement.

It covers the day-to-day services needed to keep the development running smoothly, as well as putting money aside for future maintenance. We work hard to manage these services efficiently and provide excellent value for homeowners.

Your sales consultant will explain the service charge for your chosen home and answer any questions you may have.
