Banstead Time Capsule: Terms and Conditions 

• The competition is open to local residents in and around Banstead. Employees of McCarthy Stone, their immediate family or anyone directly connected with this competition cannot enter.
• McCarthy Stone in its sole discretion will decide on the entries to be included in the time capsule. The criteria will include (but not limited to) the suitability of suggestion. The judge’s decision is final.
• All entries submitted must be the suggestion of the individual submitting them.
• Entries submitted posthumously will not be eligible.
• The closing date for receipt of entries is 23:59 on Sunday 20th November.
• To enter the competition, entrants must email details of their suggestion or take a picture and send to [email protected] with their name, location, and reasons why their suggestion should be included. Entrants to add ‘Banstead time capsule’ in the subject line.
• The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify inappropriate, incomplete, or illegible entries.
• Entrants may enter a maximum of three suggestions.
• Entry into the competition is conditional upon the entrant having obtained all appropriate consents and a breach of this condition will result in the particular entrant being disqualified from the competition.
• All items suggested must be non-perishable.
• Items must be able to fit within the time capsule which measures approximately 10 by 14 inches.
• Items received for the time capsule will not be returned.
• This competition will be judged by McCarthy Stone, in an independent and fair manner. The judges' decision is final, and no individual correspondence shall be entered into. Judges are unable to comment on individual entries.
• The organisers reserve the right to change the panel of judges without notice.
• Entering the competition implies acceptance of all the above rules. Failure to comply with the entry requirements will result in disqualification. McCarthy Stone reserve the right to withdraw this competition as a result of unforeseen circumstances arising.
• Those selected will be notified by Wednesday 30th November 2022 via email and/or telephone. If the winner cannot be contacted within one week McCarthy Stone reserve the right to choose an alternative.
• Those selected agree to take part in non-paid publicity following their suggestion being chosen (including photography if required), relating to the competition. Parental consent will be required if needed.
