Worthing is 10 miles west along of the coast of Brighton, at the foot of South Downs. Worthing has a rich history, and is home to Britain’s largest concentration of Stone Age flint mines. Once a well-known hotspot amongst wealthy Georgians and Victorians, Worthing still remains a popular family holiday and retirement destination, thanks to its warm climate, laid-back atmosphere and variety of local events.
The stunning art deco Worthing Pier is one of the main attractions, where you’ll even be able to see the Seven Sisters on a clear day. There are plenty of local artist studios set up along the beach, as well as a number of parks, gardens and outdoor areas. Visit the town’s museums, churches, galleries and theatres – including one of Britain’s oldest cinemas.
