The birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon is an attractive town that has maintained a number of its 16th century Tudor houses. The historic Old Town is within walking distance of the Stratford Assisted Living development and is a convenient destination for a cultural day out. You can also take visitors to the Mechanical Art and Design Museum, the Holy Trinity Church (where Shakespeare is buried) and Butterfly Farm. Or take a cruise on the River Avon.
The development is located next to a Waitrose Supermarket and Rosebird Retail Park, which will soon have a doctor’s surgery alongside the pharmacy, vet and day community hall. From the Rosebird Retail Park, you can take a shuttle service into Stratford-upon-Avon city centre. Here you’ll find the Maybird Shopping Park, which has plenty of retailers including a WHSmith, Marks & Spencer, Pizza Hut, Tesco and Next.
