If you'd like to be close to London, but still far enough away to get a touch of that country air, Oakwood is the perfect place. There are several green spaces around the neighbouring areas, including Oakwood Park, Enfield Golf Club, Oak Hill Park and the famous Trent Country Park. Trent Park is home to an historic English country house and its surrounding 320 hectares of grounds, as well as a lake, sports fields, a conservation area and many pleasant walks.

There are several shops and amenities located around the train station, including a pharmacy, medical centre, dental surgery, Tesco supermarket, bakery and newsagent - all within 0.2 miles from the McCarthy Stone Retirement Living development.
